Quaint little Wedding at ‘The Chapel’ Montville

It’s always with charge that we head up to one of my most favourite places in all of the Sunshine Coast shire — the oh-so picturesque mountain hideaway, Montville.

The Chapel — as it’s so appropriately dubbed — sits poised atop the eastern escarpment, overlooking the grandeur of the distant hills and meandering valleys, and the lingering ideals of all that is quaint and spiritually uplifting within this most fertile of landscapes…

Of marble, stone, stained glass, and more… adorned with carved woodland figures at each and every pew, and on the great carved doors that hung as if upon the entrance to an elven palace, up the walls and out upon the ceiling branch great carved vines; gnomes and crytals reside in the walls; there truly is a magic here: Not the solemn invocation of a crucifix-laden henge, but the subtle and majestic call of the wind, the forest, the sky, and of time gone by. Could there ever be a more perfect place to declare one’s love for another?

On this gorgeous Autumn day, the sun took turn with shower to create a sense of anticipation; a mix of easy heat and subtle humidity… Emily, our bride, with vintage flair, was truly a a sight for Matthew to behold, and their vows were read with calm sincerity, and all in attendance sat hushed, and touched by the sentiment within… After all was said, and all was near done, we celebrated with them — forever witness to their first quiet moments together as husband and wife…

Capturing moments at weddings is always inspiring, and this day, it was an absolute pleasure too.

Much love, and thanks to all.
